How it all started

Since 2012, VentureSkies has supported technical companies as Inbound Marketer and Sales Automation Partner. VentureSkies provides Analytics & Modular Sales Automation Tools operated by our Cloud-Workers to boost your sales over the Web and beyond. The services provided by VentureSkies include consultancy on service offerings and value proposition, the  transfer of Websites to a mobile-responsiveness and SEO optimization, a portfolio of sales enablement tools like live-chat, demo-tools, shop-solutions as well as the writing and publishing of blog articles and technical white-papers. VentureSkies works for companies active in technical sectors focusing on Cloud Services & Platforms, Information Security and Fintechs.

VentureSkies started in 2008 as Think Tank and Investor into Startups. In 2013, the team opened up to work for other companies, providing highly professional services based on the team’s experience in scaling up sales over the Web.

Ulrich is a serial entrepreneur and research scientist in Cloud Computing. Ulrich successfully launched several dot-com startups including the Cloud-based radar company SkyRadar.com and the simulation company Ingenatic. During 5 years he was associated member at the Karlsruhe Service Research Institute. KSRI is a collaborative entity between IBM and Karlsruhe University, where Ulrich was i.a. leader of the Strategic Value Net Project. He researched viral growth and network effects in Web-based platforms in cooperation with SAP Research (Read more on his academic publications on the viral growth through Web-platforms).
In 2000, Ulrich initiated Africa’s at that time biggest regional Web-based learning network “Dassie” for vocational schools, winning partners like the United Nations Global Unite Inititative, Bosch, SAP and the German Ministry of Development to join in. Ulrich holds a BA in Electrical Engineering and an MBA. He received a PhD for his research in Cloud Computing in 2013.

Dennis is a Social Media Strategist and Manager. He has started his career in the classical sales segment of industrial goods, soon starting to embrace Web-based analytics and Sales tools to speed up his success, making him trade manager and Commercial Director at young age. Dennis loves blending traditional outbound marketing with inbound marketing, as “an acquisition is not terminated before the deal is closed”.
Dennis is COO at VentureSkies and in charge of new customer onboarding. Dennis holds a Bachelor Degree in International Business.

Paul worked in several roles in the conjunction of Design and Marketing, including Branding, Social Media Analyst and Inbound Marketing and Creative Director. Paul likes the clear and clean designs, liberated from useless weight and gimmicks, focusing on the message and buyer journey.
Paul coordinates design and Web development at VentureSkies. He holds a Master's Degree in Business Management and several Professional Diplomas in Graphic Design.
